P is for Pig

P is for Pig
This week was about the letter P, pigs, and the prodigal son who came back to his father after spending time with some pigs. We talked about how God loves us no matter what.... We memorized Luke 15:20 and reminded each other how much God loves us.
We learned the letter P sound, how to write it and how it sounds in words. We used some snacks to make popcorn P and marshmallow pigs which we ate when we finished. We made a purple collage, used felt to sing O Mac Donald had a farm, and learned how important exercise is to our body.

O is for Opposites - Happy Valentine's Day!

O is for Opposites - Happy Valentine's Day!
This week we talked about opposites. We memorized Psalms 46:10 and read about Mary and Martha's brother Lazarus and how Jesus raised him from the dead. The opposite of dead is alive which is what we are in Christ Jesus. We talked about opposites Mary and Martha while we played an opposites game.

We made candy cane hearts, we made our very own book "Red Heart, Red Heart What do You See?" We had a Valentine's party and ate way to much sugar and opposite of that we talked about how important it is to eat healthy. We did a small simulated volcano science experiment and watched as red lava poured from our cup just like Jesus overflows our cup.

V is for Vision

V is for Vision
This week we read about the blind man from John 9, memorized John 9:25 and reenacted the blind man story.
We learned about letter V the color green and our 5 senses. We used our 5 senses to guess the sound, guess the taste and guess the texture. We played with rice and beans for sensory and marched to the 5 senses song.
Friday, Iron Man joined us for some scissor practice and Superman did some fine motor painting.
